The Challenge

The primary challenge was to develop a mobile solution that could assist colorblind users in accurately perceiving colors, thus improving their quality of life and interaction with their environment.
The Solution
To address this challenge, Eye Sight was developed with an in-built camera feature that can be customized according to the user’s specific color blindness condition. This customization allows users to adjust their visual experience to see colors more clearly. The app also includes several tests to assess the severity of color blindness, ensuring personalized and effective assistance.

The development of Eye Sight was centered around the needs of colorblind individuals. The app was designed using Figma, focusing on user-friendly interfaces and intuitive functionality. Collaborative efforts with healthcare professionals and feedback from colorblind users were integral to crafting a solution that was both technically sound and empathetically designed.

It provides various tests such as the “Ishihara Test” and “Farnsworth 100 Hue Test” to determine the extent of color vision deficiency. Users can also explore personality connections through the “Color Personality Test” and receive a thorough analysis with the “Cambridge Color Test.” The app’s unique feature, an adaptable in-built camera, allows users to modify visual settings to suit their specific colorblindness type, offering a clearer, more vibrant view of the world. Eye Sight stands as a valuable tool for understanding and managing color vision challenges effectively.
Design System
we chose green as the primary color due to its strong association with nature, growth, and vitality. Green evokes feelings of tranquillity and harmony, mirroring the soothing experience of gardening and plant care. This color enhances the app’s theme of connecting with nature, creating a visually cohesive and calming user interface. It also aids in concentration, making the learning aspects of the app more engaging.
Typography
we have selected the Poppins font for its modern and friendly aesthetic, perfectly complementing our green color scheme. Poppins, known for its geometric shapes and clean lines, offers excellent readability and a contemporary feel.
